Abstract

The article is a study on the library of San Benigno’s monastery of Capofaro in Genoa based on the inventory produced as part of the Survey of the Congregation of the Index between the end of the sixteenth and the beginning of the seventeenth century. Particularly, we tried to outline the physiognomy of the book collection, based on bibliographic data and the editions described, inserting the transcription of the most significant book entries, also in order to identify any prohibited or suspicious books belonged to the Monastery.
